Helmut DILLER
Born in Stuggart in 1911, Helmut Diller is the son of painter Fritz Diller. He studied art in Munich and became known as a sculptor and animal illustrator, notably for wildlife encyclopedias, many published in the 1960s and 1970s. In his illustrations, he generally places his animals in a plausible context and pays particular attention to thecolors he used, for the diversity of textures. He also demonstrates his perfect mastery of anatomy, visible in our model.
At the same time he developed a sculpted work that was in line with the great animal sculpture: rigorous observation, solid construction and accuracy in animal representation.
