Detailed Description
This group can be seen as a counterpart to that of Petersen, who gathers two ducks who run away, hunted by a third.
Our model, a quiet version of that of the Danish sculptor is quite different: it represents three ducks in three different positions and also correlated, except that here they seem to head peacefully towards a pond to drink.
The work is particularly limited and thus fits into the Pompon suite, whose precept he applies: the movement creates the form, perfectly applied here. He made powerful models, such as an eagle, pelicans, ibex, antelopes, which were produced very little in his lifetime.
